Hello, i would like to find out whether using a remote access application to access our BDO outside from home will result in a ban.As i have researched, i believe remote access does not alter or modify any aspect of the game.

I have seen many posts on other BDO forums that using Remote accesis such as Team Viewer, Anydesk , etc. is allowed, but then now one of my friends has been banned for using Team Viewer recently. So therefore i would like some clarifications from the staffs in BDO Sea as i believed that there are a lot of us players out there using Remote Access to manage our workers.

Under the policy of "Use of illegal Programs and Macros",
 

"Use of Illegal Programs and Macros" refers to the following:

• (1) act of using the computer programs macros, devices, or equipment (hereinafter referred to as "Illegal programs") that disables the technological protection of the service or disrupt the normal operation of the service.

Example) An act of using the programs and macros that enable members to perform any actions that require a member's direct operation without the member’s operation.
Example) An act of using the programs and macros that enable a simple operation of the action that requires a member to operate through multiple steps by omitting some of the steps.

Example) An act of using the programs and macros that enable the actions that a normal member is not allowed to perform due to restrictions made by the game system and game client program.

Example) An act of using the programs and macros that enable a member to view or change the contents of a client or server program.

Example)An act of using the programs and macros that enables a member to access multiple accounts simultaneously on a single PC

•※ If a user uses "Illegal program" while using multiple accounts at the same time on a single PC, "Use of Illegal Programs " will be applied to all the accounts accessed at that time.

It does not imply that a 3rd party software like Team Viewer or Remote Access application is an act of program or macro that can disrupt or modify the gameplay. There was no macro usage, just remote access through the Team Viewer to manage our workers regarding my friend's Ban. It was also confirmed by the staff in the email reply that it was Team Viewer as the application that caused the ban.

TeamViewer is proprietary computer software for remote control, desktop sharing, online meetings, web conferencing and file transfer between computers. It does not support any macro which will perform an action which requires multiple action, the user was only using a single client, not multiple accounts simultaneously on a single PC. No Contents was made to the client or server programs, it was a program blatantly meant for remote access, Team viewer requires the user to physically access the operations as usual but only from a different location other than home.

By no means was Team Viewer used to modify or alter the gameplay, made anything easier like macros or handling multiple accounts through the application. There are people out there who uses Team Viewer for work purposes, would having it installed on their PC cause them to get a Ban? We hope to be clarified regarding all these minor details as well.

With Team Viewer not affecting any of the Policy stated from BDO Sea, i would like to find out why and if Remote is not allowed and yet not stated in the Policy clearly for the others to clarify.
