I think PearlAbyss ought to address this: ever since players became familiar with the Great Expedition update, forced PvP ship combat has frequently resulted in barterers (typically the target of a player who initiates forced PvP) having sick sailors and losing barter goods . Additionally, Khan guild raids can straight up fail if another guild decides to contest their server by destroying their cannons, even after Khan has spawned. To remain consistent, I suggest that the rules and mechanisms governing similar activities in other parts of Black Desert should also be applied to the new ocean content.
1) Forced PvP Ship Combat
Forced PvP combat reduces the karma of the player who initiates it. Therefore, it would only make sense if the player who initiates forced PvP combat on another player's ship loses karma. Moreover, the only practical ways back to land for a player whose ship gets sunk in the Great Ocean is to 1) use a Traveler's Map; 2) board another player's ship; or 3) get killed by a monster so they can respawn at the nearest town. These three methods cost silver, time, or combat experience respectively, barring the silver incurred from healing a sick sailor, and lost from being unable to complete a barter chain. Taking these costs into account, I believe that the karma lost by a player who attacks or sinks another player's ship should be much higher than the current amount (which is similar to the karma loss when attacking or killing a land mount).
2) PvP During Khan
When World Bosses spawn, PvP is disabled in the surrounding vicinity. Likewise, when Khan - a Guild Boss - is summoned, I believe that PvP should be suspended. However, due to the 1 hour server cooldown that comes with summoning Khan, I still think that competitively contesting a server's Khan spawn should be allowed before either guild's leader actually summons Khan (e.g. when a guild that plans to fight Khan is setting up their cannons).
My suggestions above are in favor of the barterers. However, to be reasonable to the players initiating forced PvP, I recommend the addition of sea outlaw content, similar to Muiquun's NPCs & quests, that incentivizes forced PvP ship combat. This is to provide an element of risk as a countermeasure to the high profit potential that bartering has.
Hi, pa is removing PVP on Olvia-1 server soon. What you can do is quit / dont play the game for 30 days, come back and do Khans on Olvia-1 server. Problem solved.

Firstly is your "o" button spoilt? you type like a kindergarten kid honestly.
Secondly, if you can't take PVP on an open world based MMORPG then maybe you should think about finding another game? Perhaps Monkey Quest? It's for kids aged 8 onwards and has no PVP at all so I think you'll love it!
Lastly, threatening the game developers is not gonna make them bend to your will. Maybe try something more creative next time.

Back in 2018, the addition of safezones during a World Boss spawn were also a point of contention in the player community (see here). However, my 2nd suggestion was based on PearlAbyss's own precedence in creating those temporary safezones. They not only apply to World Bosses, but Field Bosses, Dark Rifts & Memory Fragment scrolls as well! As such, it would be inconsistent of them not to extrapolate these parameters to Guild Bosses as well.
In case I failed to clarify on my 2nd suggestion in the last paragraph, I was advocating for both aggressor and defender in this post! In favor of players who enjoy PvP, I was also calling for the addition of Outlaw content to the Seas so that negative karma players could be rewarded for it. Even if PvP were to be disabled when a Khan is summoned, the defending guild summoning it would still be in bad shape to fight it if they had to redeploy all their cannons post-summon (provided the cannons deployed beforehand were destroyed by the attacking guild).
At the end of the day, this remains just a suggestion. In my opinion, I don't think the current Great Ocean content is balanced, both for attacking and defending players, and so am bringing this up so PearlAbyss can consider revamping certain parts of it to improve overall gameplay. I hope you understand!

I agree with what you're trying to suggest and tell. I believe for sea content - Guild Boss: Khan - should have the force PvP suspended during the summon as it would actually gets annoying just to clear it sometimes. Like Vell, 10 minutes before it spawned, I believed PvP is suspended/disabled. It's not an actual solution just to go offline (quitting for a while) just to be in Olvia-server and summon the guild boss. I mean, do you feel like the whole guild need to quit just for a while, for that? Still need to keep the quild quests keep going for the requirements.
Having PvP on land and sea is not bad at all but, some adventurers actually - most likely wants to avoid it so it won't causes so much conflicts and dramas - even dramas actually fun. We play games to chill and trying to make friends.

Bartering can be resolved by bartering on an alt character below level 50 which is what I'm doing now, and it's just a bit more troublesome to do since I have to share sailboats with my main. But I guess it is quite worth it if one doesn't not want to lose their items and having to deal with sick sailors.

I was always wondering what would a full SMH guild do after the big SMH nerf, there you go, the only content they have now, playing "bad guys" being troublemaker by the name of "having fun" making other people's life harder.
