Final Cooking Tips...FINALLY

First, we gathered our ingredients, then we prepared and processed them, and now, finally, we are going to cook them. For anyone who has cooked anything in BDO, it seems very straightforward, just get a house, put a cooking tool, and start cooking! It's true that it's that simple, but when you start to climb up that cooking ladder, it becomes really slow, and I personally would like to utilize all the help I can get.

So below I share my final cooking tips, on how I sped up my cooking level. As mentioned in the first guide in this series, I'm cooking Calpheon Meal, so all the ingredients, processing, etc, will be based on that.

You Will Need:

Residence
Advanced Cooking Utensil
Silver Embroidered Cook's Clothes +4
Cooking Outfit (Pearl Item)
TET Loggia Accessories
Life Spirit Stone
(Oasis) Seafood Cron Meal
Verdure Draught

NOTE: These equipments and buffs are what I use when leveling, you can use anything you have, or even better versions of the same.

Residence Size and Location

Having a spacious residence ensures that you can put a lot of Advanced Cooking Utensils inside. When you're mass cooking, you will go through these cooking tools in a breeze.

It's one thing to choose a residence that has a lot of space, but another thing you need to consider is the location. Make sure to place it nearest to the Storage and Central Market, you can also place it nearest to the Central Market only, and just rent a Storage Box for 10 CP to access storage. I sometimes use the storage and transaction maid/butler, but mass cooking has a lot of ingredients and output that is above the max capacity of the maid/butler.

I'm currently using Market Street 6-2, Calpheon City.

Prepare Your Cooking Utensils

As previously mentioned, you will need a lot of Advanced Cooking Utensils, and also because of this, I make my own rather than buying from the Central Market, which is almost always unavailable. Prior to the actual cooking schedule, I would gather the materials for this cooking tool, even before I thought of leveling from Master to Guru. Now, I have a lot of the materials required.

While I'm cooking, I make sure that I craft a replacement, so I never run out. For every session, I've calculated that I use at least 4 to 5 Advanced Cooking Utensil, so I prepare to make 5 as well to replace the ones I used.

I use the Tool Workshop in Market Street 3-6 1F, Calpheon City, leveled to Max (level 3).

Carry Ingredients 2x to 3x The Cooking Capacity

At the minimum, your cooking output will be 2x to 3x per ingredient batch, still depending on your mastery. Advance Cooking Utensil can load up to 900 ingredient batches. You can test this by bringing the amount of ingredients exactly for 900 batches, and most of the time, you run out of ingredients before you consume the 900 (I normally end up 500+/900).

With that in mind, similar to processing 2/3 of the max required ingredient amount, I bring 3x the ingredients, see example below:

Cheese Pie:
Cheese - 7
Wheat Dough - 4
Egg - 3
Butter - 3

If Advanced Cooking Utensil Can make 900 batches of Cheese Pie, by default you multiply the above by 900, but as per my test, you can bring 3 x 900 so instead you bring the following:

Cheese - 7 x 900 (3) = 18,900
Wheat Dough - 4 x 900 (3) = 10,800
Egg - 3 x 900 (3) = 8,100
Butter - 3 x 900 (3) = 8,100

With this I normally consume the whole 900 batches of the utensil or sometimes I am left with 1 or 2. By doing this I save time in moving from 1 utensil to another, and time carrying ingredients from storage to the cooking tool. I wish they make an update where cooking tools can directly access ingredients from the storage. Crossing fingers on a 2021 update.

NOTE II: My characters max weight is 1700, with the help of buffs, I am able to bring it up to 1800+. Also, my fairy skill, Feathery Steps II, allow me to carry up to 110% over the max weight before my movement speed slows down.

Maximize Cooking/Lifeskill Exp, Minimize Cooking Time

I achieve this with the right equipment, buffs, and other add-ons like fairy, pet and outfits.

Equipment and Outfit:

NOTE III: 2x Ring and Earring

Buffs:

Pets:

This concludes my level from Master to Guru series. Hope this was helpful in anyway to make your cooking journey easier. Hoping for a better cooking experience this coming 2021.

My cost is almost 0. Because most, if not all of my ingredients are from scratch. Other than leveling the cooking and other Lifeskills like gathering and processing, I want to stay true to my previous guides, re saving money and making more. I wouldn't want to level cooking to Guru and spend billions. Because if I just wanted to level to Guru, I can do it in 1 week with prep, buying all the missing ingredients from CM.

Also, the guide is targeted for those who are already Master level cooking, so presumably, been playing for quite some time.
