Hello everyone, I hope that you're all doing well and staying healthy.
Today I would like to talk about an issue that I and my guild members have been facing for weeks, which is involved in the mess with the guild called Whitebeard, but the core of the problem is the mechanism of this game. I'm pretty sure that you guys all know this infamous guild so I would go directly into the details so that I could point out the loophole in the mechanism of the game more quickly.
A bit about the background, Whitebeard is a sea-focused guild, so they have lots of carracks. For weeks they cause lots of troubles for players in the ocean and make the gaming experience so difficult especially for newbies. In details, they exploit an unfinished mechanism of the game and make them almost invincible in the sea when it comes to sea battle. Once the rider of the carrack is holding the wheel, he or she is invincible and can't be killed even with negative karma (and even worse if they use level-49 characters to repair the ships). So they just shoot everyone they see in the sea and use this power as their only advantage. For me it's still fair if the other guilds can fight back, but actually we can't because this game-breaking mechanism that is being implemented.
I've been playing this game for 4 years and I've just moved to SEA from EU so I'm quite experienced to deal with such a mess. We as a guild aren't afraid of such a battle even when we don't have as many ships as they do and we really appreciate this newly additional contents of PA, but we would also appriciate it more when you could do something about this. And I believe that not only us but also other players also take this into concern.
On behalf of my guild and maybe other players who have the same issue, I suggest that you could fix this issue by allowing other people to kill the ship rider with negative karma directly once they could board the ship. I think this is a very necessary mechanism that help fix this issue, and I think it's still fair for the Carrack owners (as I know that you guys have worked very hard to earn this very cool ship) because this is still very difficult to do this in a naval battle because you have to board the ship to kill the ship rider. Not to mention that people can only do this to players with negative karma.
This topic is to initiate an open discussion so I hope that you guys could also contribute your opinions to make the game less broken. And please don't think that your voice is lonely and couldn't change the situation. I believe that if this is really the issue of many people and there are enough people complaining about this, PA has to do something about it, so you're not alone.

P/S: The purpose of this post is to ask additional features for the naval war, and I'm not complaining about the current features of the game or about WB. I know that everyone could do everything they like and that's their rights, so don't misunderstand between your personal issues and this general problem with the mechanism.
What a lovely suggestion, my fellow guildmates also having difficulties regarding this.
Couldn't agreed more on this. My guildmates also have difficulties to run away from them especially once Vell is dead. They just hunt everyone as long it's white dot on their minimap regardless friends or enemy.
If possible, maybe, PA could come up with something like "not able to aboard own boat when karma is negative" but based on this game, something like this (my suggestion) will not be considered as a "suggestion" >.<
In the past, my guild would always face this problem (even before the sea update contents). It just totally a minus point for our experiences for a beautiful game.
Even until now, I feel so anxious sometimes when seeing the said guild (not all of them are like how you said in the post, some are very friendly) at the sea. I just want to sail around peacefully (put aside the guild declaration). And not to mention, some other adventurers from different guild or guildless adventurers also did the same. >< Totallly not cool sometimes - imagine if the sailor (adventurer) is lagging so badly and found out they're attacked/sunked out of nowhere (help is too far to come!) :(

I think her mean is they use a - karma character to shoot everyone and change to the lvl 49 character for repairing the ship whenever it's destroyed
If that's a bug, its super shocking.
A proper ticket should be send to notify PA about this!
I suggest that PA do something to punish negative karma players such as downgrade ship gear, can't buy supplies, decrease parley for bartering,... Most of them don't be afraid of anything and keep killing another player while holding the wheel,because..... they almost invincible..
@Lonbu we dont change char to 49, we stand there with our red char with our balls out and repair the ship infront of you with our red char. You just didnt have the balls to kill us or ships on your side. Just get gud
So you want to remove the pvp immunity for characters below level 50? RIP all lifeskillers.
@Annar i understand your pain, its not easy to fight against a strong sailing guild if your very weak. But i have a suggestion for you.
If you dont want pvp, go to Olvia-1 server. Ask your guild to take a break for 1 month and you have 30 days immunity, Rinse and repeat. I mean pa made a non pvp server for you guys? Why not let us have our pvp servers.
All I see is "no pvp allowed in pvp game unless its us doing the pvp"

You and your guild are really making the game experience worse. By using this bug, you sabotage the activities of players at sea without fear of punishment. Because of the system - karma has yet to work effectively for people at the sea. We are not afraid to fight with a strong party at sea like you. What we need is a reasonable system that balances the unbeaten when you're holding the boat.

@yuuly you need to get some people who can build carracks themselves. PA is bringing in more Naval Combat and you will be practicaly weak and it will be one sided fights. Unless you live under a rock, and didnt know about the new Boat changes and Naval battle. Problem here i see is we made a guild that is having carracks and boats and are intrested in Navala fights. We go to vell to Train for future content sadly we hope you guys will fight back without running.

How to stop some big mean Pirate guild from sinking your fleet?
The answer? Use a Carrack. And if that don't work, use more Carrack.
Well If you see this post is to cry about the unfair reality, you should haven't read it through. What I suggested was an allowance to do pvp with the rider of the ship, and I don't think this is even a complanation. This is a suggestion for adding a necessary feature for completing the pvp feature of the game.
And by allowing direct pvp with the person holding the wheel, it would add more tactics to the naval battle, not only just ship-to-ship battles, which might be boring in the long term due to their repitition.
Do you know how to kill the sailor of the boat? Sink that boat.

Yeah, but why do we need to stick to that while we can just kill him/her directly? I'm not forbidding or complaining about any feature of the game, I'm just asking for more feature? So it seems to me that you're so afraid of this because you know you would definitely lose your advantages in such a battle.

I don't think so, do you know how hard it is to get on a Carrack in a naval battle? and I think it's fair just to allow that. It would not limit your freedom because you can still run away.
well that's what you said, I didn't say that. I know that crafting a ship is difficult, but getting good gears is difficult too, so do you think failing enhancing lots of time is more comfortable than crafting a ship?

Not eally, we can think of 10 ways how to couter your suggestion alredy. If you really think u want it go ahead. But next thing you know you are crying about it and still stating its unfair how we are killing all of you with a sheer power of numbers.
