Hi ALL,
I've been playing BDO for roughly two months now and I'm still trying to identify which class suits my gameplay. However, my question is regarding the use of weapons while grinding & PVP.
Since I'm grinding using Shai, 90% of the time I'll be using my Sol (awakening) weapon to grind and when the durability gets to zero it immediately does too low of a damage (thats logic), so I had to finish up that mob with my main weapon which still has durability, and the damage is back to normal. In other words, my secondary weapon is either at very high durability or FULL durability because I use 90% of the time with awakening weapon.
So it got me wondered, one of the weapon that does high damage on monsters is the KUTUM (Secondary weapon) right? So the question that bothers me is..... when and if I FULLY AND ONLY use Awakening weapon (say, with a Lahn or Witch) be it for grinding or PVP purpose, DOES the secondary weapon's damage becomes inactive OR plays part in the damage at all?
This question has been playing in my head for so long it got me changing and deleting classes so I'd be really grateful for some explanation.
I think the explanation in the game is damage from awakening is basic AP + awakening AP. So, there's some effect if you use only awakening weapon. But I don't know if the +extra damage to monsters from kutum sub-weapon has any effect. Probably yes to some extent...
Afaik, 40% of Pre-awakening is applied to your Awakening and 30% of Awakening is added to your Pre-awakening (could be vice versa).
What you should look into is the AP Bracket.
Wow the chart you provided kinds of explains a lot!
So in conclusion the secondary weapon still plays part in damage effect even when only Awakening weapon is used. That clears off some doubts.
Thank you Jarrette and PrawiLucia :-)
