For players who are having the same error i had after 3/24/21 [sage] update

1)Open registry editor

now copy this and paste it at the path adress at the top of the registry's editor

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

2) Now find the file name that says Personal

3) Select  and Rename the path of the file 

From : c:\Users\Yourusername\Onedrive\Documents to c:\Users\Yourusername\Documents

you do not need to restart your PC unless you need to or it's not effective

I hope it helps for some players 
I already sent a ticket earlier for support but this is annoying because your settings will revert to default every log-in

in my case, my path already look like solution you gave..but still same error still happen. 

Maybe it has something to do with your anti-virus when i started my game avast detected it like a virus because BDO is going change the file GameOption.txt and click "allow app" 

erm..yes im using avast also..but i dont received any detection when started bdo.so i should turn off avast or what?sorry..noob xD
