The Mansion Update released today in the Global Lab was an exciting experience to look forward to for many players that cares about Housing in BDO.

However, after fiddling with the Mansion System within, not everything is perfect & functioning; there are a few things to talk about regarding its current features.

Obtaining a Mansion :
- Currently there are only 2 ways of obtaining a Mansion and that's either Paying 50CP & 5 million silvers of daily deposit or Winning the Imperial Auction that has no limit to how high can the price be.

Pros:
- Mansion Entrance is quite extravagantly decorated at the front. A few metres surrounding the Mansion is also a Safe-Zone Outskirt that's not overly-luxurious.
- The space is amazing, this makes future Exterior Deco Addition something to look forward to for Mansion Decorating Enthusiasts.
- Future Garden Plot + Horse Stable? within the Mansion has yet to be tested out. But knowing this makes it convenient for Farming Lifeskillers to attend to their farm & deposit items into their storage a little bit easier.
  (Yes, I've tested it out & it's possible to Rent & Place a Container (Storage Chest) within the inside of the Mansion.)
- The 2nd floor of the Mansion Balcony is also counted as an Exterior, which means you're able to place Exterior Deco on the 2nd floor Balcony.

- Lots of new Decorations are coming. This also means the previously mentioned "Decoration Events" that rewards you some event-exclusive decorations for your mansion/residences.

Cons:
- Mansion...? Unfortunately for Interior Mansion Enthusiasts, this "Mansion" does not feel like a Mansion at all. There are only 3 rooms in the 1st floor & the staircase lead outside to the 2nd floor Balcony. The layout doesn't feel like a "Residence" to me but more of a "Temporary Refuge".
- Terrrible Interior Lighting. As seen from many screenshots, because of how windows currently work in BDO Residences, it makes natural lighting almost non-existent within the Mansion, not to mention the bigger windows that you currently still can't interact with yet, small windows high-up are still unreachable, making natural lighting from outside impossible to reach the higher part of the room.

- No Underground Cellar. Sad to say there's currently no Underground Access for the Mansion. Designs like "Wine Cellar" or "Shai Torture Room" are still not possible.
- No Fence ?! The walls surrounding the Mansion are currently too low to feel "safe", though this is more of a "Immersion" experience :P
- Lack of Attic/2nd Foor & Roof customizations. Would be nice to be able to decorate the roof with different color schemes/design or even place roof statues.

Improvements required:

- Better Interior Lighting for more natural light in the Mansion. This might be too much for now but making the Bigger Window Interactable would be incredibly good for the lighting within. This is also a problem for smaller windows that are unreachable by height that also currently exist in certain Residences.

- More Rooms designed to feel more like a "Mansion", including a Basement Addition. Would be nice to have 2nd floor room options instead of being solely a Balcony Exterior.
- Exterior Wall Design is too plain, it would be nice to have different wall designs in the future.

- Underground Chamber for players' needs.

- Attic + Roof customizations highly required.

Overall :
  Do keep in mind that this Mansion System is still in its Beta state, nothing is confirmed to be permanent. As of now this Mansion is a nice place for player hangouts & also to show-off their collections of decorations to other players. This is a good start of Mega-Housing in BDO in my opinion. Though with that said, a good start requires good maintenance.
