Yes, you read it right, I am a returnee. Who would have thought that somone who played Black Desert daily, albeit almost always AFK Fishing would suddenly stop playing, even more so return? Well, I did.

One of the things I was worried about when I returned was silver, the major ingame currency in Black Desert, the thing that makes the world go round from Grana to Valencia. Before I left 5 months ago, I just bought a Dream horse, depleting my major Silver reserves, so when I got back around the start of April, I wasn't dirt poor, but poor nonetheless.

Since I left a lot has changed in Black Desert Online, one of the things being the increase in the individual Silver rewards for Lifeskill GQs, refer to the February 23, 2020 Update. Checking the list there's also a ton of new Lifeskill GQs, while others were replaced. Each guild however can only do 10 GQs per day, regardless if it's Combat, Lifeskill or Trading GQ, it's up to each guild how they would divide it among the guild members.

Below I list the Lifeskill GQs that are helping me get some silver and at the same time, chill enough to let me have a life irl vs AFK Fishing all day, everyday, as I used to.

I do these in this order to fully utilize my character's/alt's energy. Also, the Lifeskill GQs I chose benefit the recipes I cook.

1. Gather Bottle of River Water x1000

This is my number as I can fully do this AFK. Also you no longer need to equip a matchlock to prevent your character from jumping every time you get a Hard or Sharp. I process these into Purified Water via filtering which I use in Cooking, Alchemy, and Farming.

2. Gather Milk x4500

This one requires active gathering, and is more affected by Gathering level. In my cooking, I use a lot of Milk to make Calpheon Meal which I would turn into Master's Cooking Box for Imperial Crafting delivery, which make me more money so no cooking goes to waste.

3. Gather Deer Meat x4680

Gathering Deer meat has replaced ingredients requiring Pork, Lamb, Wolf or Beef meat. This is also required for my Meat Pasta recipe, which is also part of the Calpheon Meal. I used to gather Lamb meat as it's near Calpheon and Heidel, but I compared Lamb and Deer and I actually get more Dear meat. I'm only gathering Master 3, TET Loggia Accesories, with Hedgehog.

4. Gather Fire Flake, Dry Mane, Silk Honey x800 Each

This gathering is the easiest active gathering Lifeskill which turns out quite a profit. This is not as easy as AFK River Water scooping, but it levels your gathering more than Milk. I also gather this near Behr, which is where I also do Deer meet. So if in case I stilll have enough energy after doing 1 of them, I can easily do the next without moving.

5. Obtain Witch's Delicacy x120

The last but definitely not the last, I have to say that this is my current favorite Lifeskill GQ. Firstly it can be done AFK, although not as AFK as River Water, but still AFK. Also, Witch's Delicacy can be exchange for Beer, Milk, Contribution & Cooking exp, I personally choose Cont & Cooking exp. I continuously using Supreme Cooking Utensils, as I noticed you get Witch's Delicacy faster this way, rather than segment cooking using the Advanced Cooking Utensil.

AFK Fishing is always a good activity especially if you're trying to figure out what to do in game (or irl).

These new lifeskill GQs really helped the other lifeskillers in the guild contribute to the guild more instead of always just prioritizing SMH GQs, you included. Even better, there's always meat in the market now almost the whole day. I'll help you look for WD when I see you online in the guild.

Thank you Balon! SMH has been ruling GQs due to the individual silver payout, with these new/upgraded Lifeskill GQs, there'smore variety, and you can really contribute by just doing the Lifeskills that you normally focus on. I think personally, it will take time for me to start SMH, which I planned to start 5 months go. It's back to the end of my list of priorities.
