BDO Class development has come a long way since its release. For example, the Succession specialization is released a few years after the initial game release date and it offers a completely new playing style that focuses on a class's pre-awakening kit. This change gives a new take on playing each class, however currently, there is such a big difference in design between Awakening and Succession.

For example:
1. Awakening has the option to choose Core Skills, Succession does not.
2. Awakening needs to change weapons to function properly, meanwhile Succession cannot / does not to change weapons, depending on how you look at it.
3. Awakening has more skills to use because they can use Absolute skills, but those skills tend to be very weak and usually not usable.
4. Succession has fewer skill options, but the skills are usually stronger.
5. Succession has more passives than Awakening.
6. Succession's Prime skills usually flow nicely with each other, meanwhile Awakening skills tend to be more clunky.

My suggestion on this matter is to revamp the Awakening and Succession specializations. The focus here is to make sure that the two specializations are equal in terms of their design. Here are some of my suggestions:
1. Remove weapon swapping from the game. This means that Succession will only use the main hand weapon, and Awakening will only use the awakening weapon.
2. To compensate for the suggestion above, we need to add skills to the Awakening specialization, because they will lose the option to use their Absolute skills. A simple way to do it is to give Awakening the exact same Absolute skills that they usually use (let's say they typically use only 4 out of 10 Absolute skills available), but these skills will be cast using their Awakening weapon.
3. To add on point 2, a lot of classes have skills in pre-awakening and Awakening that function very similarly. For example, Dark Knight's Enforcement and Spirit Blaze are very similar because they are both an unprotected skill that has Float CC. To not make the revamping very complicated, we just need to modify the current awakening skill to make it similar to their pre-awakening counterpart.
4. Give Succession the option to choose Core skills.
5. Give an equal amount of passive options to each specialization.

I will explain this further with an example from my main class: Dark Knight

Succession Dark Knight:
1. Can keep all their Prime skills.
2. Add the option to choose Core skills from their Prime skills. For example, Core: Enforcement gives Frontal Guard.

Awakening Dark Knight:
1. Gets these skills from pre-awakening, but she will use her Vediant to cast these skills: Air Strike and Wheel of Fortune.
2. Modify these awakening skills to make them similar in terms of usage to some pre-awakening skills:
- Touch of Exploitation: Add Float on 1st hit and make the initial animation faster = Similar usage with Slanted Balance
- Spirit Blaze: Add damage = Similar usage with Enforcement
- Flow: Spirit Blaze: Add Knockdown = To compensate for the loss of Kamasylvia Slash

With these changes, Awakening Dark Knight can enjoy most of the useful pre-awakening skills without having to swap to pre-awakening anymore. This will make Awakening much more equal to Succession in terms of design. One thing to remember is that these are purely DESIGN changes. Any effects and numbers can be tweaked after (For example damage, CC, protection, etc.).

just make an insta killall button and call it a day , why the fck does every game need to be streamlined now a days

they do that i quit the game, screw simple , grinding is borring as it is , and more options in pvp = player skill cap is higher

they allready removed most the skillpoint system, its prety much meaningless atm other then a few passives that are "nice to have" and you cant buy them strait away. skill progression is gone dead and burried...

what you are asking means turning it into a cookie cuter class sistem , hit x lvl get x skill no weapon swaps pick your "advanced" class at 56

and for that we can just go check an MMO list pick ANY game there and play it......... the bonus is no crap upgrade roulete to deal with

do not fck with the gameplay thats the only reason some of us stick around
