End of Support for 32-bit OS and DirectX 9

Notices Jan 4, 2023, 10:00 (UTC+8)

Greetings, Adventurers.

As an overwhelming majority of our Black Desert Adventurers utilize 64-bit operating systems and DirectX 11, we’ve decided to retire support for 32-bit operating systems and DirectX 9 starting from Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

For most of our Adventurers, these changes will have zero impact on the way they play Black Desert. If you are unsure if this may affect you or are looking to update to the latest versions, please refer to the information below.

■ Upcoming Changes to Black Desert’s Recommended System Requirements

Operating System
32-bit Operating System (OS) ▶ 64-bit Operating System (OS) (Required)

* Starting February 1, 2023, you will no longer be able to launch Black Desert on a 32-bit Operating System (OS).

DirectX
DirectX 9 ▶ DirectX 11 (Recommended)

* While Black Desert will still be playable with DirectX 9, we recommend using DirectX 11 for the most optimized gameplay experience.
- Technical updates for DirectX will not be applicable to DirectX 9.
