Season Server FAQ

A collection of most frequently asked questions from Adventurers regarding the season servers.

On Season Servers/Characters

Q. Do I need to prepare anything before playing on the season servers?

Besides having an extra character slot available, there is nothing else in particular that you need to prepare ahead of playing on the season servers.

Season characters can equip gear and accessories acquired from completing main questlines of Valencia, Drieghan, Kamasylvia, and O’dyllita, so veteran Adventurers make sure to prepare these in advance to guarantee an easier leveling experience.

Q. I wish to level my season character faster.

If you open up the Pearl Shop (F3) and look at “Black Spirit’s Pick” → “Silver Event Items”, you can find and purchase the [Event] Combat & Skill EXP 530% Scroll (60 min) to add some speed to your leveling experience.

We recommend using these scrolls in monster zones from Lv. 50 or higher.

Q. I wish to change my season character.

You can either delete your season character and create an entirely new one, or use “Fughar’s Timepiece” to copy your current season character’s Combat EXP, Skill EXP, and gear to an entirely new season character.

You can find more about Fughar’s Timepiece in the following guide.

Season Character Transferal (Fughar's Timepiece) ▶

Please be aware that if you delete your season character, all of their items including gear and season pass rewards will be deleted as well.

Season Pass rewards can only be claimed by one character of your Family per season, and you will not be able to reclaim them with an entirely new season character after having claimed them before on a deleted season character.

Therefore, take care to move all of your items into your storage before proceeding to delete any character.

Q. What are the goals in a season server?

1. Create a season character.

2. Level up through the main questline.

3. Reach Lv. 56 and complete the Awakening/Succession questlines.

4. Grow strong with the Naru gear, enhance them to PEN (V) grade, convert them to Tuvala gear, then enhance them to PEN (V) grade as well.

5. Explore the rest of the world of Black Desert as you see fit.

You can also engage in a variety of Life Skill contents such as fishing, farming, and cooking all on the season server.

Q. What’s the “simplified” questline?

Adventurers who have already completed the main questline all the way up to Mediah on a previous character can opt to skip the main questline via this system. It is heavily focused on leveling your season character but also grants rewards similar to those from completing the main questline up to Mediah.

The simplified questline is available only for season characters and requires you to complete the main questline up until meeting with Alustin, the resident alchemist of Velia.

New Adventurers who have yet to complete the Mediah main questline cannot choose the simplified questline.

Q. I already chose the main questline. Can I switch to the simplified questline instead? / I’m currently doing the simplified questline. Can I switch to the main questline instead?

Unfortunately, once you’ve chosen to proceed with either the main or simplified questlines, you cannot make a switch to the other after.

The simplified questline will unlock the Valencia main questline once you reach Lv. 56.

Q. I can’t mount up on my Dream Horse.

Season characters can only ride up to Tier 8 Coursers. They cannot mount Dream Horses.

Q. I heard there’s an early graduation?

Once the season has been in session for some time, you will be able to graduate before the actual season comes to a close.

There will be notices alerting you that you can graduate from a season.

Q. Is it better to graduate early?

Monster zones on the season servers drop seasonal materials such as Tuvala Ores, Refined Magical Black Stones, and Time-filled Black Stones in addition to the normal loot tables, and once you’ve enhanced all of your Tuvala gear up to PEN (V) grade, you can sell the remaining materials to vendors as Silver.

Thus, some adventurers will postpone their seasonal graduation until the very end to squeeze every ounce of silver they can earn from these monster zones, while other adventurers will seek to graduate as soon as they possibly can in order to quickly continue with guaranteed PEN (V) accessory and/or boss gear questlines to further strengthen their characters.

If you’re still uncertain on when exactly you should graduate, we recommend that you continue to gather Silver on the season server before you come to a decision.

Q. When can I redeem my special season reward?

You’ll be able to claim your special season reward after the season has been open for a certain period of time.

Your season character must be Lv. 20 or higher and can also claim this reward even after they graduate.

You will need the “Season Special Gift Exchange Coupon” to claim your seasonal reward, and you can also pick those from past seasons you’ve yet to claim.

Q. I’ve graduated from the season server. What now?

Once you’ve graduated from the season server, you can continue to experience the variety of content offered in the world of Black Desert and claim rewards for doing so through the “Progression Pass.”

If you wish to obtain even stronger gear, you can try your hand with the “Guaranteed PEN (V) Boss Gear” and/or “Guaranteed PEN (V) Accessory” questlines.

On Gear

Q. I heard I could obtain PEN (V) boss gear and accessories. Where can I find them?

You can proceed with the “Guaranteed PEN (V) Boss Gear” and “Guaranteed PEN (V) Accessory” questlines after graduating from the season server.

The “Guaranteed PEN (V) Boss Gear” questline requires you have TET (IV) Tuvala gear from the season servers.

Q. I can’t enhance my Tuvala gear due to it being at 0 durability.

You can recover the max durability of Tuvala gear with either the same type of Tuvala gear or with Tuvala Ore.

Speak to your local blacksmith in town, then choose Repair → “Recover Max Dur.” and use Tuvala Ore to recover the max durability of your gear.
You can only use unenhanced Tuvala gear of the same type as the piece you are attempting to recover the durability of.

Q. Is there a better way to gather Tuvala Ore/Refined Magical Black Stones/Time-filled Black Stones quickly?

Time-filled Black Stones drop from all monster zones on the season server and especially in larger quantities from Valencia, Kamasylvia, Drieghan, and O’dyllita territories.

Refined Magical Black Stones and Tuvala Ores also drop from monster zones on the season server in Valencia, Kamasylvia, Drieghan, and O’dyllita territories.

Each of these enhancing materials have specific zones that drop greater quantities, and you can find exactly from where by checking their respective item descriptions.

You can also obtain these materials from weekly quests, quests specific to certain monster zones, Rift’s Echo, Challenges, and Season Pass Rewards as well.

Q. Enhancing Tuvala accessories is hard.

Accessories have a chance to be destroyed entirely when failing their enhancement, so you may feel a bit nervous when attempting to enhance these.

Try increasing your Enhancement Chance to higher numbers and attempt to enhance spare accessories instead of those you currently need and/or have equipped.

Do note that you will get a PEN (V) Tuvala Ring and PEN (V) Tuvala Earring at Lv. 60 and Lv. 61, respectively, from Challenges, so you will only need to enhance one of each to PEN (V) grade.

Q. If I enhance multiple sets of Tuvala gear, can I equip them on alternate characters?

Once your season character has graduated, or has been converted into a normal character, you will only be able to convert one full set of Tuvala gear per gear slot (for earrings and rings, you will be able to convert a pair each.)

The Tuvala gear with the highest enhancement grade will be converted for each slot especially if your season character undergoes automatic graduation (conversion).
