1. What is customization?
Customization allows you to adjust the look and voice of the character you want to create in the way you want. Adjustable are not only the large parts; the height, body size, hair, face type but also the details: eye color, eyebrow length, skin gloss, wrinkles etc.
Also, before customization, you can pre-dress your character in various clothes. Based on this, you can create the character of the desired image. After you have customized and finished creating your character, you need an Appearance Coupon if you want to change your character's appearance again.

 ▶ Even after the character has been created, you can find Appearance Coupon at Perl Shop (F3) to enjoy customization.

2. Customization UI
You can access the customization UI by selecting Character> selecting Class. In the customization UI, you can adjust 'constellation', 'weather (character background)', and 'character behavior' etc in addition to 'customization'. This enables your customization to be more complete.

3. UI structure of Customization

① Front view: click it to make your character's face and eyes not follow the mouse. Click it again to make your character's face and eyes follow the mouse.
② UI Toggle: Click it to get rid of UI, and enjoy the better view of the customized character.
③ Take a screenshot: Click it to save the screenshot of current screen in [C:\Users\PA\Documents\Black Desert\ScreenShot]
④ Open the screenshot folder: Open the folder where the screenshot taken at above 3 is saved.
⑤ Change history: view the change history of character customization. Change history is saved by each part such as hair, face etc. Press 'Previous' or 'Next' button to reverse the change history.
⑥ Constellation: Select the character's constellation.
⑦ Customization: adjust character's hair style, face, body, voice etc..
⑧ Weather: Set the background of the customization screen.
⑨ Character behavior: choose the clothes and posture of the character. Choose the clothes and posture to enjoy the character customized in a more variety of conditions.
⑩ Customization information: Manage customization information in operation. It is a function to temporarily save the history of customization in progress or to save and retrieve the information in a file form.
⑪ Character information and menu: Completes character creation or go back to the previous menu.

4. Explore Key Features of Customization
1) Customization
The customization menu allows you to adjust the character's hair, face, body, and voice. Click each icon to see the sub icons for details that you can make adjustment and the corresponding UI.

1)-1. Hair style
In the hair style section, you can adjust the type and color of the hair style.
▣ Type: Select the type of hair style. Hair styles vary in shape and range depending on the type of hair.

▣ Shape: This controller allows you to directly adjust the shape of the partial hair style such as length of the hair and the intensity of the curl.

• length1: Adjust the front hair length of the character
• length2: Adjust the side hair length of the character
• length3: Adjust the upper hair length of the character.
* Setting options of length can be limited depending on the type of hair style
  EX) Certain short hair styles cannot set length3
• Curl intensity: Set the volume intensity of curl.

▲ Left: Curl intensity is set low / Right: Curl intensity is set high
• Curl phase: set the number of curses of the character's hair.

▲ Long hair of the same kind can be changed to a permed hair style of different impression.

▣ Color: Set the hair color. There are three parts: Base, hair end, and inner hair for which the degree and the range of dying can be adjusted respectively. You can also determine the degree of the hair gloss.
• Base: Adjust the hair color and degree of the hair gloss for the base area.
• Hair end: Adjust the hair color, dying, and the range of hair end area.
• Inner hair: Adjust the hair color, inner dying, and the inner range of inner hair area.

▲ Set the color for each part of the hair.
▲ Depending on the type of hair style, adjustable options for the color and range can be limited.

1)-2. Face
In the face section, you can do detailed customization related to face such as face type, skin, facial hair, eyebrows etc.
▣ Face type: You can select the type of face provided by default.

▣ Skin: You can determine the degree of skin color and gloss of face and body.

▲ The same skin color, but different impression using the degree of gloss.

▣ Facial hair & eyebrows: You can set the facial hair and eyebrows in type and length and the degree of curl. For facial hair, you can also set the density, gloss and facial hair range.

▲ The same hair style type, but different impression from setting facial hair and eyebrows.

▣ Face type: use the controller to directly adjust each part of the face.

Click on the face area you want to adjust, click the controller type, and adjust the length / width / depth of the face.

▣ Makeup: Adjust the makeup on eye, eyebrows, blusher, lip. There are makeup types, eyelash curling, detailed adjustments etc.

(Menus for men's character and female character may be different.)

▣ Eyes: choose the shape, color, and type of the eyes. Eyes are divided into pupil, iris, and lens and each eye can be adjusted respectively.

▲ Individuality can be shown through customization with various types and colors.

▣ Eye lines: Adjust upper and lower line of the eyelashes and eyes. Determine the shape, length, and color.

▲ Adjust eyelashes and eyes lines to show individuality.

▣ Tattoo:  Apply tattoo. Adjust the size and position to apply it on the face anywhere you want

▲ Tattoo gives more effect than makeup.

▣ Wrinkles: Apply wrinkles on character’s face. Wrinkles are divided into Forehead wrinkles, Eye wrinkles, Nasolabial wrinkles and use them to adjust the age range

▲ Same customization, but different expressions using wrinkles.

▣ Standby facial expression: determine the default facial expression that the character will put on during standby state in the game. The selected expression will be shown in the in-game standby motion, so please take your time to decide.

▲ With a variety of facial expressions, give your character individuality.

1)-3. Body
▣ Shape: This controller allows you to directly adjust the partial shape. In the shape section, you can easily change the shape of the body as well as the height and body shape.

▲ Use the controller to adjust the body parts you want.

▣ Muscle: Determine muscle mass. Muscles are divided into body, arms and legs to adjust respectively.

▣ Tattoo: Apply tattoo. Adjust the size and position to apply it on the body anywhere you want.

▣ Posture editing: You can create a desired posture by adjusting the character's body parts. You can save and delete the posture setting and it will not affect the appearance shown in the game.

1)-4. Voice
You can set the character's voice. You can set the type of voice as well as the thickness of the voice.

2) Customization controller
The controller you can use during customization helps you adjust the selected parts in various ways depending on the part. Depending on the type, it is divided into moving, rotation, and size. Select the controller, then you can directly move the part you want to adjust by clicking on it. Also, you can make fine adjustments by using the control bar. The control bar is divided into length, width, and depth, and each direction is applied based on the screen view regardless of the direction of the character.

3) Customization information
Using customization information, save the appearance applied to the character to a PC or share it with other adventurers. Save the customization information into a file form to show off your customization work in the media bulletin board on the homepage and get others' customization files.

▲ You can find the customization information at the lower left corner of the character creation screen.
● Customization Temporary Save: Temporarily save customization in progress.
The capacity for temporary storage is up to 10. After 10EA, the first saved file will be deleted and the new file will be saved.

● Saving and applying the customization file: Click to save the currently set customization information. If you want to have multiple customization files, you can save them with different filenames.
● Read customization file: Apply the file that was shared from another adventurer or saved separately to the character. Overwrite the desired file in the folder where the customization file is saved, and then click 'Read customization file' in the game to apply the character appearance immediately.
● Apply default customization: Ignore any customization that was in progress and returns to the initial state.
● Applying a popular look: The popular Beauty album look is randomly applied.
● Beauty album: It is the content that manages customization character information and shares it with other adventurers. Within Beauty album, you can take a picture of your character and manage it in an album (folder), also you can share it with other adventurers whenever you want by uploading it to gallery. In addition, you can apply the character appearance uploaded by other adventurers to your customization.
